- Knowledge and experience in Inventory Management computerized information system - Preferred.
- Enhanced knowledge of WHMIS legislation as it applies for shipping and receiving preferred.
- Dangerous Goods Transportation certificate - Required or complete when hired.

- Able to problem solve with little supervision, including problem solving of purchased goods.
- Demonstrates safe lifting practices.
- Knowledge of hospital layout.
- Able to assist in unloading trucks.
- Experience in operating heavy equipment and machinery.
- Able to demonstrate organizational skills of setting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to support and embrace the philosophy of Service Excellence and Patient and Family Centred Care.
- Demonstrated participation in building a culture of safety and partnering with each other to improve the safety of patient care processes and systems.
- Demonstrated performance reflecting the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)
- Demonstrates ability matching packing slips to purchase orders accurately.
- Ability to deliver products in timely and courteous manner
- Provides assistance to customers regarding product needs, received goods, distribution issues.
- Accuracy and attention when receiving goods is critical
- Satisfactory attendance.
