Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the incumbent will work in a departmental capacity, responsible for receiving product and sorting and maintaining inventory in accordance with product specifications, special requests and ensuring product delivered to the end customer is of the utmost quality, while adhering to adequate quality standards and ensuring process optimization. This position requires a high level of interaction and support to Mylen’s customers and vendors, as well as staff/co-workers.

**SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Possess beginner to advanced knowledge of shipping and receiving and material handling process and procedures.
- Knowledge of safe operation of general hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of safe advanced operations of machinery and equipment.
- Inspect and verify quality of finished products and accurate product count for delivery, comparing to supporting order and delivery paperwork.
- Unload and receive product into shipping and receiving warehouse, maintaining efficient storage.
- Sort and organize product throughout shipping and receiving department, maintaining proper inventory levels in the manufacturing and finishing departments.
- Gather necessary materials to create rainbow stacks, as well as miscellaneous moldings and other products for specific or specialty jobs.
- Document and report defects, errors and discrepancies for repair.
- Transfer or load finished product with extreme care to storage or into Company vehicle in preparation for delivery.
- Demonstrate initiative to complete tasks independently, with the support of the Coordinations department and other Company staff, as applicable.
- Material management (i.e., documentation of products or materials low or missing).
- Complete required reports/administrative work immediately/as required throughout shift.
- Interact with customers, clients and/or vendors in a positive and courteous manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Work in compliance with all administrative and health and safety policies and procedures, as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies.
- Assist in other departments as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Ability to work in a quality, results driven and fast paced work environment.
- Ability to team lift and load heavy objects, up to 300lbs. In order to best facilitate a safe team lift, team members are required to remove non-fixed components from product, leaving only the shell, to lessen the weight of the product when transferring to its location. Sound discretion to be used based on overall weight and shape/dimensions of product.
- Ability to work in hot and humid and cold work environments.
- Physically demanding tasks (i.e., lifting, bending and standing/sitting for long periods of time).
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends when required.
- Participate in compulsory training as deemed necessary for the role.
- CSA steel toed construction grade safety shoes in production area.
- Means of daily/reliable transportation.

**QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Extensive vocational, technical wood-working, surface preparation, finishing and cabinetry training and/or experience, trade certification or education in woodworking preferred.
- Valid lift truck training and certification.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering and technical drawings, as well as other written instructions and design specifications.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
- Strong mathematical knowledge.
- Ability to read and take accurate measurements.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, execute tasks efficiently and work under pressure to facilitate proper business flow.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Highly motivated and detail oriented.
- Autonomous, honest and trustworthy.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification an asset.
- Valid transportation of dangerous goods certification an asset.
- Valid Joint Health and Safety Committee certification an asset.
