**Summary**:
Certarus’ modern OT platform allows us to remotely monitor and safety deliver CNG / RNG / and Hydrogen to customers across North America. Anchored around our cutting-edge Ignition SCADA system, we are leveraging OT as a competitive advantage to drive efficiency and provide best-in-class service to our customers.
**Schedule**:
- Normal working hours are expected for this role, with the possibility of after-hours on call support (remote). Some travel is expected (2-4 times per year).
- We support a hybrid work environment consisting of in-person collaboration at our Calgary or Houston offices (3 days per week) and flexible work from home.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the development and evolution of the Ignition SCADA system and IoT/Edge device ecosystem to best address the company's needs as the business grows and enters new markets
- Drive the advancement of automation & digitization across our equipment portfolio (“Smart Trailers”, compression & decompression) for improved reliability, data management & visibility, and remote operation
- Provide technical leadership for all OT systems within Certarus
- Act as the primary technical contact to integrate Certarus’ OT assets with that of customers and partners
- Lead collaboration with internal departments and external vendors (SCADA integration partners, network providers, and hardware suppliers)
- Oversee commissioning of new equipment and IoT implementations
- Coordinate with IT group to integrate OT data into other business systems & dashboards
- Identify opportunities for equipment/PLC enhancement and work with Engineering group for continuous improvement
- Develop and implement OT processes to standardize day-to-day work and improve operational consistency
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years' experience implementing and supporting Ignition SCADA software platform and IoT/Edge device ecosystems
- Demonstrated experience leading OT projects and managing technical teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to connect with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to identify and execute on opportunities for OT to impact the business
- Strong expertise with communications protocols including OPC UA, MQTT, MODBUS, and Rockwell RS232/485
- Experience with wireless communication standards such as BLE, RFID, and LoRaWan
- Strong analytical skills and aptitude for hands-on technical work
- Ignition Core and/or Gold certification an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud integration for OT systems
- Experience with VPNs / firewalls and OT network security principles
- Oil & gas industry experience an asset
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Science an asset
