**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking an **_HR Generalist_** to join our dynamic HR Operations team. In this pivotal role, you’ll help manage key HR functions that directly impact our employees’ experience, from onboarding and benefits administration to compliance and HR systems. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations, supporting a diverse and thriving workplace culture.
**What You'll Do**:
**Employee Life-Cycle**:
- Lead the onboarding and offboarding processes with precision and care, ensuring a welcoming experience for new hires and a smooth transition for departing employees.
- Draft employment contracts, offer letters, and handle all HR-related documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Partner with HR leaders to implement impactful HR programs and initiatives that enhance the employee journey.
**HR Systems & Process Improvement**:
- Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring top-notch accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Be a key player in the maintenance of our HRIS (Human Resources Information System), helping streamline processes and workflows.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system upgrades that will enhance our HR functions.
- Lead the charge in rolling out new HR initiatives and tech solutions.
**Compliance & Reporting**:
- Drive HR operations audits, ensuring everything is organized, compliant, and efficient.
- Ensure all HR operations align with local labor laws and company policies, keeping us ahead of any regulatory changes.
- Produce insightful HR reports and metrics to track workforce trends and compliance requirements.
- Represent HR on the corporate OHS Committee, actively contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
**Benefits & Retirement Savings Administration**:
- Answer employee questions about benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and more.
- Oversee and manage leaves of absence, including maternity, parental, adoption leaves, and short
- and long-term disability programs.
- Collaborate with insurance providers and resolve any coverage or claims issues with a customer-first attitude.
- Lead benefits orientation sessions and ensure employees are educated and empowered to make the most of their benefits package.
- Manage annual US Benefit Open Enrollment, and stay ahead of trends in benefits offerings to maintain competitive, comprehensive options for our teams.
**Employee Support & Engagement**:
- Be a trusted resource for employees, answering inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and general HR processes.
- Help resolve HR-related issues with a solution-oriented mindset, escalating when necessary.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and company-wide events to foster a vibrant workplace culture.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Education & Experience: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven progressive HR experience, particularly in benefits administration, is a must.
- HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and industry best practices, with in-depth knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is key.
- Nice-to-Have: Experience with US employment law and benefits administration is a big plus
