Reporting to the Manager of Road Compliance and Contracts the Supervisor of Road Compliance is a key leadership role that is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day compliance and enforcement activities for the City of Brantford s municipal right-of-way (ROW).
Other duties include, but not limited to:
- Supervise and lead a team of technologists responsible for Right of Way Permit approvals and permit compliance.
- Supervise and coordinate a team of Road Patrollers to complete roadway inspections in accordance with the Maintenance Standards (MMS) and maintain appropriate documentation to support regulatory compliance
- Review, issue, and enforce conditions of Right of Way Activity Permits in accordance with City by-laws
- Investigate and resolve complaints related to unauthorized road work
- Maintain accurate and timely records of inspections, infractions, permits, and enforcement actions using municipal software systems
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Successful completion of a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Completion of T.J. Mahony Road School is considered an asset
- Three (3) years of progressive experience in Municipal Road Compliance, Right-of-way Enforcement, or Minimum Maintenance Standard Inspections, including at least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS
- A valid G Class Driver's License and access to a vehicle is required
**WAGE/SALARY RANGE**: $43.21 to $54.01 per hour (based on a 35 hour work week) plus benefits
