The Beacon Pub & Eatery, one of Whistler's best loved pubs, is seeking a full-time Service Manager to help lead our amazing Front of House team
- Overall, this position is responsible for all aspects of the day to day operations for the restaurant, working in conjunction with the Operations Manager and the direction of the Restaurant Manager. This position comes with one serving shift per week, so you can really set the example for the team and set the bar on being the best front of house team in town

The role of Service Manager is to ensure proficient day to day leadership, development and management of the Front of House team, whilst consistently working to control usage and costs. You will maintain and promote high standards of quality for all food and beverage programs, and drive high standards to be a dining destination of choice locally.

Some of the duties you will be required to complete as part of this role include:

- Support and complete the recruitment, training, direction and supervision of the Front of House team as needed
- Record and maintain all employee training to ensure that they are consistently able to exceed guest expectations by leading the effort to implement change based on relevant customer feedback, and resolve any complaints arising from guest experiences in a timely and diplomatic manner
- Conduct pre-shift regular meetings with employees to clearly communicate all service items as they relate, and provide updates on policy and process changes when necessary
- Develop and administer product knowledge evaluations and training sessions when applicable
- Complete daily/ weekly labour management tasks, including scheduling and approving timecards
- Be accountable for all cash control procedures, reviewing regularly and supporting the Food & Beverage Office Assistant with cash-outs when required
- During busy periods, take the initiative by supporting the team with running food, bussing tables, and serving to ensure overall team success
- Promote the business on multiple social media platforms
