Our Kid's Count is a local not-for-profit charity and has a new opportunity in our administration team, as a Human Resources Coordinator. Our Kids Count supports a healthy work/life balance in a supportive and inclusive workplace. As the Human Resource Coordinator, you will handle a variety of administrative and clerical tasks related to Human Resources and provides back-up support in the Administration department.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Complete all day-to-day human resources activities for staff and managers.
- Support in the recruitment process from posting job, scheduling interviews and completing background checks
- Maintain and update employee records in personnel file and in payroll database
- Perform bi-weekly payroll for all staff
- Complete reporting to Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and Canada Revenue Agency
- Administration of the annual performance review process for staff
- Coordinate and execute with new employees the onboarding and orientation process
- Administration of Our Kids Count’s employee benefits program
- Assist in the reimbursement of staff and volunteers expenses
- Assist the administrative team with the annual program audit
- Assist with discipline and counseling of employees as requested
- Ensure that Our Kids Count is in compliance with legislative laws, employment standards and company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
**Requirements for this position**:
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Prior experience working in Human Resources, minimum 1 year
- Communication skills, verbal and written
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Prior experience in not-for-profit sector is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word) is an asset.
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
