**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Monitor inventory to maximize turns while managing “just in time” and safety stock levels
- Assist in reducing obsolescence and implementing slow moving inventory control strategies
- Seek out new products, vendors, suppliers and manufacturers and negotiate terms and pricing for greater profitability
- Periodic physical inventory checks to verify stock and losses. Assist with annual physical inventory counts.
- Maintain and monitor cycle count records
- Track orders for timely delivery
- Expedited parts procurement
- Source parts from multiple vendors to ensure maximum profitability and supply
- Implement inventory control measures utilizing available technology and resources
- Investigate and report on inventory variances
- Ensure efficient distribution of inventory and resources amongst all locations
- Bulk and seasonal inventory procurement
- Eliminate duplicate inventory records
- Monitor and correct negative inventory records
- Monitor and correct on hand (OH) inventory with No Bin records
- Maintain substitute and supersession inventory records
- Manage open purchase order records
- Assist with investigating inventory variances from accounts reconciliations
- Manage and administer vendor rebate programs
- Maintain inventory record pricing and vendor price files
- Monitor and report on incurred freight expenses
- Travel is required to all branch locations

**Qualifications**
- High Scholl diploma or equivalent
- HD or Automotive parts knowledge preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting
- Knowledge of filling out waybills and bills of landing and international shipments
- Ability to weigh and measure items
- Familiarity with Karmak an asset
- Exceptional forecasting ability with strong analytical and interpretive skills
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures
- Knowledge of computerized barcode inventory systems/accounting procedures
- Knowledge of surplus property/logístical support structures
- Knowledge of accounting system/inventory control processes and laws pertaining to inventory control/property disposal
