**ABOUT THE POSITION** Double Zero is looking for a Dishwasher to fill out their team on a full-time or part-time permanent basis. Whatever your definition of "famigila", 00 is your destination for seasonally inspired Italian, superb vino and the sound of good conversation at the table. **WHAT WE OFFER** - Competitive Hourly Wage - Gratuities - Duty meals - Extended health benefits after 90 days for employees working 28+ hours per week - 25% Company-wide food & beverage discount & access to frequent local business discounts/specials **WHAT YOU'LL DO** - Ensure a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment is consistently available for kitchen and food service. - Sort, stack, and load dirty dishware into dish racks in an organized manner to maximize machine capacity and reduce breakage. - Operate dishwashing equipment in a safe and controlled manner. - Unload dishware, distributing and storing in designated storage areas. - Maintain ongoing communication with all departments affecting the kitchen. - Aid kitchen staff in food prep. - Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to according to the restaurant’s standards. - Ensure that the dishwashing area and equipment is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness. - Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner. - Aid in maintaining department objectives and ensure they are met and exceeded. - Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required. **WHAT YOU HAVE** - No previous experience required. - Strong organizational and time management skills required. - Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers. - WHMIS Certification is required but can be obtained once hired. - Food Safe Certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of being hired. - Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations. - Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
