Job Summary
We’re looking for someone who is two to four years into their labour and employee relations career and willing to learn to progressively take on a greater leadership role in labour relations.

LR/ER are an essential part of maintaining the great work environment we’re proud to have established and to be a part of.

**Responsibilities**:

- Act as an integral member of the negotiation team, assist in preparing negotiation strategies and prepare and review drafts of collective agreement language. Ensure that negotiations are properly documented.
- Educate management on negotiated contract changes and assist with implementation where required.
- Manage, termination cases and complex employee relations cases by supporting the HR Business Partner team and managers in building the case, determining corrective measures, supporting management in delivering the decision to the employee and liaising with union representatives.
- Manage, investigations and negotiation strategies for any dispute. Manage the preparation of cases for negotiation of agreement, mediation or arbitration and ensure settlements or court orders are followed/implemented correctly.
- Manage grievances and attendance management process/programs
- If the need arises, actively contribute to strike management and reporting to senior management.
- Develop and maintain an expertise on various working conditions in similar organizations, trends, jurisprudence, etc. by keeping up-to-date on labour relations literature and developing a labour relations network.

**Qualifications**:

- You have 2-4 years experience in labour relations
- Strong organization skills, detail-oriented
- Strong decision-making skills with ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Exceptional verbal and written communications abilities with conflict resolution experience, primarily in English (secondary languages are welcome)
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- You enjoy troubleshooting challenges and finding solutions that work for everyone
- You enjoy being a part of dynamic team, and are willing to jump in to help whenever needed
- You can translate complex things in a simple way
- Experience in analytics
