**Who We Are -** RECAP Health Services is a non-judgmental welcoming space providing trauma informed treatment for substance use disorder, with a focus on opiate and stimulant replacement therapy with wrap around social supports.

Our team recognizes each participant’s unique lived experience, honours their potential, and accepts where they are now, while providing them support into getting where they want to be.

**Job Description -**As an **Acute Care Personal Support Worker** you will be responsible for supporting those participating in our iOAT (injectable opioid agonist therapy), OAT (opioid agonist therapy) and SRT (Stimulant Replacement Therapy) programs. You will oversee participants who are taking part in the iOAT program while they receive their witness injectable medication. As well you will collaborate with other members of the team involved in the care of those in our programs.

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Oversee participants perform self-injection of prescribed medications and providing necessary materials for safe injection practices.
- Monitoring and reporting program participants’ adverse reaction to any medication or treatment.
- Documenting all program participants’ interaction and maintaining up to date patient records
- Collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team
- Following all River Stone Recovery Centre’s policies and procedures
- Attending team meetings
- Supporting our administrative staff in their duties as required
- Other responsibilities if required.

**Qualifications -**
- PSW/PCA certificate and/or equivalent.
- Experience working with vulnerable/priority populations
- Good communication skills - ability to listen carefully, speak clearly, and remain calm under

stressful situations
- Experience with managing challenging behavior and setting boundaries.
- Workplace First Aid with CPR C and AED certification.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance.
- Immunizations that are up to date
- Demonstrate interest and experience in working with participants who have a substance use disorder
- Capacity to meet participants where they are at in their recovery
- Ability to feel comfortable with program participants injecting opiates
- Ability to self-care
- Ability to work effectively and compassionately both as a team member and independently.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
