We have grown from one standalone Gas Bar in downtown Winnipeg to an ever-expanding co-operative with 49 gas bar locations, 24 car washes, 6 cardlocks, 9 food stores, 8 pharmacies and an oil supply centre. Our fleet of trucks are on the road delivering fuel to farm and commercial accounts in Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.

And we just keep growing as we develop fresh, modern ways to deliver premium products with extraordinary customer service.

**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for a **Full-Time Cashier at our Linden Woods Gas Bar, located at 885 Waverley Street, in Winnipeg, Manitoba**. The Cashier will report to the Gas Bar Manager.

Essential responsibilities of the positions include the following:

- Deliver world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient.
- Educate customers and staff on the benefits of membership in Red River Co-op and encourage them to join.
- Ensure the C-store is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
- Operate a cash register, take payment from customers and provide change.
- Follow all legal requirements regarding the sale of lottery and tobacco products.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure department image and safety standards are followed. Ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are to Co-op specifications, including cleaning of all equipment and display cases.
- Observe safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Gas Bar Manager.
- Follow safe front-line loss prevention practices and maintain a constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise or fuel from the site.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- Excellent interpersonal skills. We’re looking for individuals who builds great relationships with co-workers and customers.
- Strong customer focus and interest in serving others.
- Good mental math skills.
- Experience working in a retail environment. Specifically, experience handling cash would be an asset.
