**Description**:
The centrally based Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) works with Speech-Language Pathologists, reporting to the Manager of Speech-Language and Hearing Services. Work assignments may occur in Elementary and Secondary schools across the school board, including virtual school.
The CDA will support the delivery of services to students with speech, language and/or communication needs, under the clinical supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist. This position also involves supporting students who are nonverbal or low verbal and who use AAC (low tech or high tech).

**Qualifications**: (Applicants shall possess the following as of date of posting)
Post graduate certificate from an accredited Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) program.
Experience in a school setting.
Knowledge/experience in delivering speech, language and communication intervention in person and when required virtually.
Solid knowledge of software programs such as MSTeams, PowerPoint and Word.
Boardmaker software use and knowledge is recommended.
Knowledge and training in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and special communication devices
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and documentation skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle to travel to any school within the Board’s jurisdiction throughout the school year.
Flexibility regarding schedule within a 7-hour work day.
