Rail Car Handler/brake Person

Fisher Wavy is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Rail Car Handler. This is a full-time year-round position with competitive wages and a benefits package.

**Job Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Perform daily pre-ops of trackmobile, rail cars and bag houses prior to starting each shift
- Attend daily safety meetings
- Unload various cement products from rail cars
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure the clean up of any spills or garbage within the area
- Must be able to identify, report and correct hazards
- Must be able to work as a team player, communicating with all site personnel and co-workers
- Will be required to complete daily inspections and reporting of production
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures: safety standards operations, maintenance, training, cleanliness standards, etc.

**Job Requirements**

**Education**
- Experience working with rail cars is considered an asset
- Surface Miner Common Core is considered an asset

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our business
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion when provided with instructions
- Availability on holidays and weekends when required
