Universal Collision Centre has a permanent full-time position open for an Estimator

As a Collision Estimator at UCC, you will play a crucial role in the repair process by accurately assessing the extent of damage to vehicles and providing detailed repair estimates.

Job Responsibilities:

- Inspect automobile body damage to identify the exact extent of all damage
- Develop and supply insurance company with all estimates based on evaluation by accurately costing parts, supplies, and labour
- Review estimates with insurance adjuster to gain repair and replacement approval
- Document approved repair and replacement services required by creating work orders in the work management software
- Work closely with repair technicians to discuss repair plans, clarify any technical aspects, and ensure accurate estimates
- Obtain all appropriate approval signatures from insurance companies and customers before work begins
- Maintain body shop records by recording all repair and replacement actions in the work management software
- Stay updated on industry standards, repair techniques, and advancements in automotive technology to make informed assessments

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in a Body Shop environment
- Unrestricted driver license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmissions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and maintain professionalism during high-volume periods
- Self-driven to work independently and the ability to work effectively and collaborate with a team
- Advanced decision-making and problem-solving abilities

Working knowledge of body shop software such as Mitchell is an asset but not mandatory
