As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exemplary customer service, with a focus on delivering high-quality beverages and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea drinks, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Positive attitudes and positive actions make for a positive workplace culture. Foster collaboration and communication. Create and nurture an inclusive, positive and healthy work environment.
- Be apart of a team that actively works at creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Make a variety of filter coffee and espresso-based drinks with love and care.
- Share your coffee knowledge with customers and help them find their perfect brew.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and ready for action.
- Handle transactions and manage the cash register like a pro.
- Help out with inventory and making sure we’re always stocked up on essentials.
- Work together with your peers to keep things running smoothly.
- Upkeep cleanliness of the cafe in all areas used by baristas and customers.
- Maintain regular and prompt communication with Hale team members verbally and by using communications platform(s) provided. Treat customers with a welcoming and positive attitude. Seek to satisfy their needs to the best of your abilities and notify management if you have any issues or customer concerns requiring support.
- Continuous effort in upselling to customers through education and recommendation of products, merchandise, and current menu offerings.

**Learning and Development**

Continuous learning is one of the most important pillars to develop your skills as a barista at Hale Coffee. This includes:

- Attending mandatory quarterly staff meetings and/or cuppings.
- Striving to serve the best tasting espresso and coffee-based beverages using the tools and standards of quality set forth by Hale.
- Seeking to expand your knowledge of all of Hale’s coffees, menu items and standard operating procedures through cupping sessions, menu tastings, and staff training.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$23.35 per hour
