**Position Overview**

The **Business Development** Individual will be instrumental in shaping the future of our company by expanding our customer base, improving fleet efficiency, and ensuring seamless daily operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in trucking logistics and sales, capable of fostering strong industry partnerships while driving operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee, plan, and optimize daily logistics operations.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share and revenue.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within FTL, LTL, and expedited freight services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, brokers, and logistics partners.
- Maximize fleet utilization, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively with dispatch, drivers, and warehouse staff to enhance workflow.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing logistics team.
- Negotiate contracts and freight rates to ensure profitability.
- Manage financial planning, budgets, and cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and industry standards.
- Organize shipping documentation, monitor shipments, and track goods in transit.
- Oversee scheduling, dispatching, service rates, and inventory management.
- Establish and implement policies and best practices for transportation and storage.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- 3-5 years of experience in trucking logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation sales.
- Proven success in business development and revenue growth within the logistics sector.
- Strong knowledge of freight logistics, routing, and cost management.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
- Strategic problem-solving abilities with an innovative mindset.
- Experience working with brokers, carriers, and direct shippers.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools (experience with **Rose Rocket** is an asset).
- A proactive, goal-oriented attitude with a commitment to company success.

Pay: $56,326.01-$65,012.58 per year
