**About us**

Vancouver Island Therapy is a busy counselling office in Nanaimo, BC who are looking to add a clinical counsellor to our team that specialises in couples/family counselling.

Our work environment includes:
Ability to make your own hours

Have more flexibilty with your time

Work with a fun and ambitious team

A receptionist to help take care of answering calls, booking clients and billing

Fully furnished bright office space

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish strong, therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
- Provide group and individual therapy.
- Facilitate family counseling sessions on occasion.
- Perform discharge planning or refer clients to community resources for ongoing support.
- Be able to take care of sick patients.
- Collaborate with other medical and mental health professionals in treatment plans.

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Nanaimo, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Master's Degree (preferred)

Work Location: In person
