Clinical Counselor

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Counselor to join our team. We are a holisitic health care team looking to add professionals with a passion for perinatal, post partum, and womens health. We are currently 2 pelvic floor physiotherapists, an athletic therapist, and kinesiologist based out of downtown Nanaimo. We offer a collaborative working environment, monthly education sessions, and a relaxed environment. Contractor pay to be discussed per individual. Must have a valid degree in social work or counselling, and your own liability insurance.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their psychological, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide direct counseling services to children and their families, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and families to coordinate care and support for patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and case management activities.
- Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving clinical practices and patient outcomes.
- Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to pediatric care and special education needs.
- Engage in data collection efforts to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $80.00-$110.00 per hour
