Estate / Foreclosure Paralegal

**Position Summary**

The position is responsible for providing legal and administrative support to lawyers with a focus on Post-Title Foreclosure Sales.
- Communicate well and timely with clients and third party agents such as appraisers and realtors.
- Draft and/or review of documents, including conveyance / lending documents; mortgage documents; vendor and purchase transaction documents; trust letters; statements of adjustments; closing documents / reports and accounts.
- Generate correspondence and reports, as directed.
- Prepare transfers / affidavit of transferees.
- Assist with document revisions, as required.
- Maintain and file documents and associated databases.
- Handle and disburse funds
- Prepare closing documents and attend to the post-foreclosure sales, including the distribution of sale proceeds
- Communicate and report to client’s mortgage insurers, including the preparation of claims to mortgage insurer
- Prepare legal account to clients and final reporting to clients.
- Knowledge of court process and steps required in a foreclosure action is an asset.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Successful completion of a legal assistant/paralegal program.
- 5 years experience in residential real estate or foreclosures.
- Experience preparing claims to mortgage insurers is a very beneficial asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and proactive management of tasks to successfully meet deadlines.
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Knowledge of the rules of Court and Law Property Act insofar as it relates to foreclosures is an asset.
- Knowledge of court process and steps required in a foreclosure action is an asset.
- Knowledge of FCT is an assest.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
