What we offer our staff:

- A culture that supports work life balance guided by our flexible work policy. This position typically works 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, but some flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work is required.

**Wellington Guelph Drug Strategy**:
The Wellington Guelph Drug Strategy (WGDS) is a coalition of organizations within Guelph and Wellington County who share a common mission to prevent and take action to reduce substance-related harms. The WGDS Manager provides leadership, support and oversight for a wide variety of projects that focus on education, program development, advocacy and knowledge translation.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Demonstrated experience in strategic policy development and planning, policy analysis and program evaluations in the human services area.
- Demonstrated experience working with elected officials and senior management within the public sector.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Strong conceptual capabilities and the capacity to develop creative solutions to complex operating, policy and emerging problems.
- An ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Flexibility in learning new program areas or analytical techniques.
- An ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A very high level of communication skills, with a particular emphasis on excellent writing ability and public speaking.
- Sound interpersonal skills and demonstrated good judgment.
- Experience developing and managing program budgets.
- Knowledge of substance use, harm reduction, addiction, social determinants of health and health equity.
- Ability to interpret and present data in an accessible manner for diverse audiences
- Strong facilitation and strategic planning skills
- Experience writing grants and reporting to funders.
- Experience developing educational material and training for adults.
- Experience engaging with and using social media is an asset.
- Ability to set goals and get results within a set timeline.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Effective time management, decision making and organizational skills.
- A good team member and supportive of interdisciplinary practice.
- Experience working in direct service role in social services and/or health care, is an asset.
- A master’s level degree or other postgraduate training in a related field (e.g., Master of Public Health or Master of Social Work) is an asset.

**PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES**

Manages the implementation process of the Wellington Guelph Drug Strategy including:

- Maintains strategic visioning to support sustainable implementation practices, a process which is operationalized by creating an Annual Workplan outlining specific projects and goals to be achieved within each calendar year.
- Coordinates and facilitates various committees and groups, acting as project manager for prioritized implementation projects.
- Develops and maintains partnerships with community partner organizations and community stakeholders.
- Leads partnership initiatives for the purpose of planning, program
