**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Social Services Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for providing support on client cases, managing the waiting list, performing community outreach, and assisting with general office administration.

**Main Duties**:

- Manage the waiting list of potential residents by making updates as needed both in the filing cabinet and computer database;
- Assist with the organization of health seminars for caregivers in the community and residents in the Home;
- Record minutes in both English and Chinese languages;
- Provide support to residents with health challenging issues;
- Assist in case management and crisis intervention;
- Other duties as may be assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Current enrolment in a post-secondary program in Social Services or related field in a recognized University/College;
- Experience working with seniors is a strong asset;
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team a strong asset;
- Strong computer skills;
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team;
- Proficient in English and Chinese, both oral and written, considered an asset.

**Other Requirements**:

- Is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- Was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
- Intends to return to school on a full-time basis for the upcoming academic year;
- Is a student in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program;
- Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the _Immigration and Refugee Protection Act* _and;
- Is legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial / territorial legislations and regulations.
