Store Managers contribute to Dutil’s success by being responsible for all aspects of running a retail store including; sales, brand/product research and buying, customer service, operations, recruitment, supervision and development of the store staff. They are accountable for the achievement of store sales, financial and operational goals. Store Managers are also responsible for all aspects of ensuring they create and maintain the “Dutil Customer Experience” within their stores.
Operational duties include inventory management, scheduling, cash management, store maintenance, online store assistance, and in-store communications. Store Managers are also responsible for ensuring that visual merchandising standards are followed.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Effectively manage in-store inventory and cash control
- Ensure POS is maintained with current and correct information
- Ensure availability of merchandise by maintaining store inventories
- Identify problems, and then develop and implement solutions
- Responsible for loss prevention, and maintaining the necessary security measures
- Maintain a safe and clean store environment
- Ability to resolve concerns from customers and associates with little to no guidance from upper management
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Motivation of all store employees
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Two to three years of retail management experience in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment
- Denim and fashion knowledge a plus, but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible to work day, evening and weekend shifts, based on business needs
- Team-building and strong motivational skills
- Experience managing, training, and motivating team members
- Comfortable with technology; developed computer skills, specifically, POS software, Microsoft Word and Excel
- University college degree and/or coursework (especially with a focus on business management, retail merchandising) is an asset, but not required
