We're is seeking a passionate Customer Service/Sales Associate to join the Growlies team on a full-time basis. **This is a hybrid position for both the Upper Tantallon and Bedford locations.** - **What sets us apart**:_ **Upper Tantallon**: - Our main location offers customers the largest selection of raw feeding options in Atlantic Canada, with 23 freezer doors and 10 chest freezers in-store, as well as a fully-digitized drive-thru shopping experience - the first of its kind in the pet industry **Bedford** - Our Bedford location offers customers a similar selection of raw feeding options, with 18 freezer doors and 6 chest freezers in-store, as well as Atlantic Canada's first-ever bistro for dogs - il Canino Dog Beefstro We serve a-la-carte and made-to-order gently cooked meals for dogs in our fully outfitted commercial kitchen. - **What sets you apart**:_ You are a motivated, self-starter and a team player. You've got exceptional customer service skills, a strong interest in nutrition, and a desire to learn about raw and fresh feeding for pets. - **You must be willing to**:_ - Work in a cold storage environment (-18 walk-in freezer - PPE provided) - Work in a small commercial kitchen - Repetitively lift up to 50lbs - Work weekends as part of this full-time position - Work at both locations (Upper Tantallon and Bedford) **Essential Functions**: - Interact with customers, including assessing customer needs, educating customers about pet nutrition, and recommending brands and products - Assist with store operations, including operating sales terminals, receiving orders, following store SOPs, and helping to train new staff members - Assist with inventory management, including counting inventory, restocking shelves and freezers, and rotating stock - Drive sales, including meeting specific sales targets and challenges, and making "add-on" sales - Participate in Team Meetings (in-person or virtual) - Participate in customer acquisition and marketing initiatives (markets, special events, etc.) **Qualifications**: - Pet specialty sales and/or retail experience - Experience with POS/inventory software - Ability to confidently and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing **Benefits**: - Up to **20%** off wholesale cost of products for your own pet - **Competitive wages**: - Positive team atmosphere - **Extended health & dental benefits**: - Yearly vet bill reimbursement up to **$250** for qualifying treatments - **Three weeks **paid vacation - Working with pets on a daily basis **Salary**: From $16.50 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Store discount Shift: - 8 hour shift - Day shift Application question(s): - Are you able to work at both store locations (Upper Tantallon and Bedford)? - Please share your experience with the pet food industry and/or raw feeding?
