**What can you expect from this role?**
- Working within the head office personal insurance team and reporting to the AVP Personal Insurance, the Business Project Manager of Product and Underwriting is responsible for the effective co-ordination, management and delivery of enhancements, defects and initiatives that drive growth and profitability.
- Collaborate with other key functions and stakeholders within the organization and be responsible for the organizing of all short term and long-term business initiatives as it relates to Personal Insurance Product and Underwriting.
- Assist with the prioritization and ranking of changes to align with shifting business needs
- Supporting roll out plans ensuring necessary communications are coordinated and sent to required stakeholders
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team by producing PP presentations, status and progress updates for initiatives which may include specials projects.
- Support Operational Planning to deliver on the Personal Insurance plan. Design and maintain delivery plans for each PI product and underwriting initiatives working closely with delivery partners to ensure smooth execution
- Update and maintain the framework and governance to make sure projects are measured against timelines, continually monitored, and revised where necessary to ensure plan targets can be for all major initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and effectively negotiate with stakeholder
- Ability to collaborate with others to achieve results

**What you bring to the role?**
- University degree in a related field of study (e.g., Business, Commerce, Math, Economics, etc.)
- 5+ years Canadian P&C Insurance experience - preferably with a diverse background in a variety of functional areas (Claims, Operations and Underwriting or any combination
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Simply and concisely, convey results and recommendations enabling effective decision-making.
- Effective written and verbal communication and relationship management skills.
- Creative problems solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills
- Extensive experience working with the Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Excel
