**Responsibilities**:
The Research Associate’s primary role will be to implement the required workflow to transfer MRI data from hospital MRI scanners to Robarts Research Institute servers. The Research Associate will work with the PI, IT staff, research staff clinicians, technologists, and administrators to ensure efficient and secure data transfer that meets the needs of the researchers, while protecting privacy.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Master's degree in a relevant discipline; PhD in a relevant discipline preferred

**Experience**:

- 5+ years working with medical imaging data
- 2+ years of experience working with large MRI data sets

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

- Knowledge of techniques for planning, managing and coordinating research projects that involve a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse with, complete detailed analytics and reports for all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team with flexible hours
- Ability to investigate defined issues, solicit input, and suggest remedies and alternative approaches that meet the needs of the project
- Understanding of magnetic resonance imaging and data structures
- Proficiency in Matlab
- Documentation and detailed notetaking
- Familiarity with privacy protection legislature (FIPPA/ PIPA etc.)
