Dance Instructor

**Position: Summer Dance & Art InstructorOverview**:
As a **Dance & Art Instructor** at **Camp KidsTown**, you’ll bring creativity, movement, and self-expression to life This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about **dance, visual arts, and inspiring young campers**. You’ll lead exciting workshops, encourage artistic exploration, and help campers build confidence through movement and creativity.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Lead & Inspire**:

- Plan and teach **age-appropriate dance routines and art projects** that encourage creativity and skill-building.
- Foster a **fun, inclusive, and supportive** environment where campers feel comfortable expressing themselves.

**Art Instruction**:

- Guide campers in hands-on **arts and crafts**, introducing various techniques and materials.
- Encourage self-expression through **painting, drawing, mixed media, and more**.

**Dance Instruction**:

- Teach **basic to intermediate dance techniques** across different styles (jazz, hip-hop, ballet, or contemporary).
- Choreograph simple routines and **help campers develop rhythm, coordination, and confidence**.

**Mentorship & Leadership**:

- Serve as a **positive role model**, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and self-expression.
- Promote **confidence, leadership, and personal growth** through the arts.
- Work with fellow instructors and camp staff to create **engaging, high-energy activities**.
- Assist in planning and **organizing a final showcase** for campers to present their work.

**Qualifications**:
Passion for **dance, art, and working with children**
Experience in **teaching, coaching, or performing** in dance or arts settings
Strong **communication and leadership skills**
Ability to create a **positive and engaging learning environment**
CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before camp starts)
Clear **criminal background check** (for applicants 18+)

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $17.20 per hour
