The Life Model supports the college’s design and animation programs by serving as a live reference for the human form, enabling students to develop their technical and observational skills. Collaborating with faculty, the Life Model fosters a professional and engaging learning environment by posing in a variety of positions, both nude and costumed, to align with the curriculum's specific objectives.

Seeking models over the age of 18 representing a range of body types are required.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Posing for instructional and extra life drawing sessions**
- Provide a variety of static poses, primarily nude, ranging from short gestures (e.g., 30 seconds) to continuous poses lasting up to several hours, with regular breaks
- Independently manage and pose for extra life drawing sessions, ensuring the session runs smoothly by selecting poses, monitoring time, and addressing participants' needs
- Pose occasionally in costume, with rare instances of collaborating with another model in a costumed setting based on learning objectives
- Use props, garments, and linens to enhance the educational objectives and align with class themes

**Collaborating with faculty**
- Meet with instructors before each session to understand the lesson plan, posing requirements, and learning objectives
- Adjust poses during sessions based on feedback to ensure alignment with learning unit outcomes

**Managing session flow and personal preparation**
- Monitor and manage transitions between poses to balance instructional needs with physical comfort
- Prepare physically and mentally before sessions to maintain readiness and minimize fatigue

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Secondary school education is required
- Minimum one year of related work experience is required
- Experience in fine arts, performing arts, athletics, yoga, or dance is considered an asset
- Confidence in posing nude within a professional academic setting
- Strong body awareness and physical stamina to sustain poses for extended periods
- Adaptability to adjust poses and incorporate props or costumes as required
- Ability to collaborate with faculty to align poses with class objectives
- Commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment
- Time management skills to ensure efficient session pacing
- Familiarity with anatomy or artistic principles is an asset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $29.85 per hour
