Basic data compiling and analysis
- Drive to monitoring locations for the purpose of sample collection and field measurements
- Be on 'Standby' for some weekends to support emergency spill response, guided by other technicians.

**Qualifications**
- Enrolled in a diploma or degree in environmental /water science, technology, or related field.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits.
- Success in this position requires strong attention to detail and a focus on producing high quality results.
- This position must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions while following safe work practices and policies; have the ability to work both independently and in a team; and be innovative in troubleshooting issues in the field.

**Pre-Employment Requirements**
- Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2025.
- Must obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.
- If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Compensation: $28.88 per hour
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
- work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
- Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
