**About Us**
**WCB Nova Scotia** is the province's provider of workplace injury insurance.

Pursuant to the Workers' Compensation Act, we provide workplace injury insurance to workers and employers in Nova Scotia.

We work with workplaces across the province to help prevent workplace injuries, and to establish strong return-to-work programs. When injury occurs, we support workers to recover safely while working or to return to work in a safe and timely manner. We provide income replacement benefits, supporting rehabilitation and offering return-to-work assistance. We also provide extended benefits in cases where someone who has been injured at work is no longer able to work due to their workplace injury, and we support families in the wake of workplace tragedy.

We are a leader in Nova Scotia's growing workplace safety culture. Our social marketing campaigns spark important conversations and behaviour changes related to workplace safety. We work with our partners to reduce the human impact of workplace injury, through the promotion of workplace safety and return-to-work.

**About the Opportunity**

As safety champions, all WCB Nova Scotia employees are responsible for following safe work procedures, using personal protective and safety equipment as required, knowing and complying with all regulations, reporting any illness or injury immediately to their manager, reporting unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and cooperating with occupational health and safety initiatives. At WCB Nova Scotia we champion safety and promote a diverse and respectful workplace. Please note that ours is a scent

- A University degree in the sciences or business, preferably with major course work in health and safety management and a combination of both the knowledge/ skills required and practical experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of organizational behavior and organizational structure to enable coaching of employer working teams to meet desired outcomes.
- Experience in structured team building and oral/written communication skills are key components of this position.
- A CRSP designation would be a definite asset as would experience in Return-to-work program design.
- Experience representing an organization and working with key stakeholder groups such as government, business, organized labour, and worker representatives is an asset

We offer a competitive compensation package including a salary range of **$65,379 to $81,669**.
