**Responsibilities**

  • Assist with creating and executing a results-driven social media strategy
  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms
  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content
  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels
  • Collaborate with team to create a social media calendar
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics
  • Tracking mentions of client(s) using Google Alerts
  • Drafting and scheduling social posts using Loomly software

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
  • Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills
  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Experience with Canva, WordPress is an asset

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing, digital communications or a related field
  • 1-3 years experience with social media marketing or content development
  • Direct experience using a social media management tool (Hootsuite, Loomly, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with digital media editing tools (Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro) is a plus

Language Requirement

  • English proficiency (spoken and written)
  • French and other languages (i.e. Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Mandarin etc.) are an asset

Ability to commute/relocate

Primary Work Location: 144 Queen Street West, Brampton, ON, L6X 1A. Expected in office with potential to work remotely 1 to 2 days a week after 3 months.

Schedule

  • An average of 37.5 hours a week
  • Primarily Monday to Friday, social media monitoring / engagement on evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
