**About the Role**:
Currently Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Sudbury, ON as a **Contract Specialist for a 6-month fixed term contract. **The key responsibilities of this role include, but not limited to:
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to establish contracts that offer the most efficient and cost-effective approach to acquiring services required by Technica Mining.
- Preparing formal Statements of Work (SOW), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Tender (RFT) and Requests for Information (RFI).
- Working with department leadership to develop criteria for evaluating and comparing proposals.
- Incorporates Equity, Diversity and Inclusion language, principles and best practices into contractual agreements.
- Working closely with the Business Superintendent to finalize terms and tenders.
- Understands what commitments and risks are being assumed with the contract for Technica Mining a whole, and flags potential concerns to the Business Superintendent, COO and CFO and other stakeholders as required.
- Set up Key Performance Indicators for departments to oversee the day to day performance, activities and requirements for all contracts and vendors
- Participates in and/or chairs vendor kick-off meetings.
- Sets clear awareness of contract expiry dates and works with Technica Mining leadership on renewal strategies.
**Qualifications**
- A University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent, combined with several years of related experience.
- Experience in purchasing and managing vendor relationships
- Experience in executing procurement activities within a services-based environment
