Job Title: Analytical chemist

Levels: Intermediate & Senior

Company Description: Process Research Ortech Inc. (PRO) is a leader in technology development and transfer for process industries and critical materials. Analysis of inorganic materials, REE, Au, ceramics and different ore bodies. PRO develops technologies and carries out laboratory and pilot testing to provide engineering assistance for scaling up of processes for its clients.

**Job Requirements for Analytical Chemist**
- Analytical chemistry for Inorganic critical materials; various ore bodies
- Compliance with established safety protocols and appropriate PPE.
- Ability to perform basic chemistry tasks such as pipetting, use of analytical balances, performing volumetric measurements, preparation of reagents and standards while maintaining documentation and record keeping.
- Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot instruments as required
- Prepare solid and liquid samples for ICP-OES & ICP-MS analysis
- Analyze solid samples by C/S determinator
- Maintenance of instruments as required
- Follow all relevant SOPs
- Assist with sample organization and sample disposal.
- Keep their work area clean, neat and organized
- May involve long period of sitting and standing
- Requires flexibility around working hours, overtime and shift work, including weekend
- Ability to support lab certification
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Qualifications for Analytical Chemist**
- A college diploma or degree with a major in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
- 4+ year experience in an analytical lab (Mining); a must
- Ability to communicate in both oral and written form.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask as required
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Capacity to work individually and as part of a team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
