**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Review project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to accurately assess project requirements.
- Conduct material take-offs and quantity surveys for plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Analyze project scope, labor requirements, and material costs to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Prepare detailed and competitive bids for plumbing and HVAC projects.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Sales and Closing jobs Actively engage in sales activities and negotiations to secure contracts for plumbing and HVAC projects. Present bids to clients, address concerns, and finalize deals to meet sales targets.
- Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and quotes for materials and services.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and improve accuracy.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and address inquiries.
- Monitor industry trends, material prices, and market conditions to stay informed of changes that may impact project costs.
- Support the project team during the transition from estimation to project execution phase.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in the HVAC & Plumbing
- Qualified tradesperson in mechanical field with several years' experience, and previous estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using estimating software, G-suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) is a plus.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
