Truck Driver

_**Yard location: Laval**_
- **Workdays: Monday to Friday**_
- **No work on Weekends**_
- **No work on Statutory Holidays**_
- **Shift Start time: 6AM to 6PM (12 hour shift - end shift depends on volume of freight and or delays)**_

**What you will do**:

- _**Drive a Refrigerated 3 Ton Truck to deliver freights to assigned stops within Montreal and surrounding areas**_
- Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time
- _**40 deliveries daily and up to 5 pick-ups**_
- Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
- _**Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck (lift up to 75lbs)**_
- Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
- Report on all safety hazards and accidents
- Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build strong client relationships
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
- Additional duties as required

- **What we require of you**:_
- _**French is a must**_
- High School Diploma
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Clean Commercial Driver's Abstract
- Minimum 1 year experience of Commercial City Truck Driver
- Day shift - Monday to Friday working a minimum of 12 hours/day
- Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck (40 deliveries and up to 5 pick-ups daily)
- Capable of doing physical labour - lift up to 75lbs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
- Experience with courier service is an asset
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Customer Focus - experience providing quality customer service
- Adaptable to change
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Experience working independently and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work on a team and being a team player
- Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices
- Must have a safety and compliance mind set

**What we require of you**:

- _**Must speak French**_
- High School Diploma
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract
- Courier or LTL experience is an asset
- Minimum 1 year Commercial driving experience
- _**This shift will be Monday to Friday with 12 hours of work/day. Overtime will be paid.**_
- _**Capable of doing physical labour with a great degree of strength and stamina - lift up to 75lbs**_
