**Purchasing and Logistics Agent**
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Perform all legwork of calculating months' on-hand inventory by size and provide recommendations for purchase.
- Prepare purchase orders.
- Evaluate purchasing reports and prioritize purchase orders by critical need.
- Respond to internal stakeholder inquiries.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorders to forecasted productions.
- Ensure orders meet the optimal inventory levels to maximize order fulfillment.
- Expedite incoming material arriving from local, regional, and international suppliers.
- Monitor and track incoming container shipments.
- Liaise and coordinate with logistic companies for incoming and outgoing deliveries to customers.
- Liaise with third-party service companies.
- Troubleshoot received discrepancies and invoices.
- Monitor orders and maintain delivery date updates to the Shipping and Receiving Department.
- Resolve inbound material and invoice discrepancies as required.
- Handle all Customer Owned Material (COM) processing and the entering of orders/ managing of their inventory.
- Assist with monthly inventory management.
- Liaise on carrier or PWiC to conduct Border Broker Details.
- Generate and manage Demand and Supply plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Identify issues and market trends proactively to resolve pricing, inventory, or warranty discrepancies.
- Maintain safety stock levels for all assigned products.
- Participate in cost-improvement projects.
- Review and action the Forecast vs. Actual demand report as per schedule.
- Communicate potential pricing discrepancies with management.
The abovementioned describes the general nature and level of work this position performs. Management, at its sole discretion, may assign further duties as necessary.
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary degree/ diploma in Business Administration or related field **2-5 years** relevant experience is required.
- Professional Designation or Certification in Supply Chain Management is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Full proficiency with MS office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage constraints and competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of the team.
- Professional at all times to clients and teams.
- Negotiation skills is an asset.
- Knowledge of food industry regulations and safety standards is a plus.
**Salaries may vary depending on the experience of the incumbent.**
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
