We're known for our quality products, collaborative culture, and practical, down‑to‑earth approach to doing business.The RoleAs a Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services that support ODRA's manufacturing and service operations. You'll work closely with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure materials are available when and where they're needed - while balancing cost, quality, and supplier performance.This is a key role in maintaining a reliable, cost‑effective supply chain and supporting ODRA's continued growth across North America.What You'll Be DoingProcurement & SourcingSource and purchase raw materials, parts, and components required for production and service activitiesGenerate, issue, and manage purchase orders within the ERP systemActively seek cost‑saving opportunities through alternate sourcing, material substitutions, and market analysisIdentify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen supply continuitySupplier Management & NegotiationBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery, competitive pricing, and consistent qualityNegotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and delivery schedulesAddress supplier quality issues, discrepancies, and corrective actions in collaboration with internal teamsTrack and assess supplier performance, including delivery reliability and service levelsInventory & Operational SupportMonitor inventory levels to prevent shortages, line stoppages, and overstock situationsSupport production schedules by aligning purchasing activity with operational demandTrack purchasing KPIs such as PO aging, delivery delays, and supplier performance trendsResolve supply‑related challenges creatively to maintain production flowAdministrative & ERP ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate purchasing and inventory records within the ERP systemEnsure data integrity across purchase orders, pricing, and supplier informationPrepare reports and analysis for purchasing reviews and cost evaluationsWhat You BringPost‑secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skillsProficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft 365Excellent organization and time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environmentKnowledge of mechanical or industrial components is an assetSupply Chain certifications (SCMP, CPIM, etc.) are considered an assetWhy ODRA Stands OutClean, well‑organized manufacturing facilitySupportive, hands‑on leadership teamStable day shift with predictable hoursA growing company with long‑term career opportunitiesA role where your decisions directly support production and company successJob Posted by ApplicantPro
