**Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary practice. Your ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and your passion for animal care will be essential in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for both clients and pets.
**Responsibilities**
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as required, including laboratory sample preparation.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Provide support during emergencies by communicating effectively with veterinary staff.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and phone systems.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while maintaining professionalism.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
**Experience**:
- veterainry assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
