**Overview of the opportunity**:
KPMG Law Tax Litigation & Dispute Resolution section assists companies and individuals to protect against, prepare for, and respond to challenges by the tax authorities. KPMG Law is involved in each stage of the tax dispute - from pre-litigation to litigation in provincial and federal courts and tribunals.

We are currently seeking an experienced associate lawyer with one to three years of experience for our Montreal office to assist our tax dispute and litigation practice throughout Canada.

**What you will do
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal procedures;
- Assist with the preparation of and actively participate in trials before the federal and Quebec courts;
- Assist clients in responding to federal and provincial audits;
- Prepare notices of objection and written representations to the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenue Quebec;
- Prepare legal opinions.

**What you bring to the role
- Bachelor of Laws and Master of Taxation (or the equivalent) with admission to the Quebec Bar;
- One to three years of tax dispute and litigation experience gained at a leading law firm;
- Knowledge of Quebec Court procedures, Tax Court of Canada and Federal Courts procedures;
- Bilingual in French and English, both verbal and written;
- Resourcefulness and high level of autonomy;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as administrative and time management skills;
- Excellent communication and research skills;
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion;
- Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism.
