**Position Summary**

Based out of our New Glasgow Office, the Cleaner is responsible for providing general cleaning and custodial duties and minor maintenance tasks within the Crombie New Glasgow Office location. Additional duties of the Cleaner include but are not limited to:

- Provide excellent customer service with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to team members.
- Dispose of office staff refuse.
- Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
- Clean and disinfect touchpoints, bathrooms, gym, photocopy rooms, fixtures, etc.
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
- Plant, water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
- General cleaning and custodial duties, including sweep, vacuum, dry mop, wet mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors, and stairs.
- Wash towels and dishes.
- Wipe and/or dust architectural features.
- Maintenance duties such as equipment maintenance, as well as painting and replacing ceiling tiles.
- Assist with setup during annual meetings or other events.
- Paint or prep areas or maintain seasonal décor.
- Understand the importance of safety in the workplace and follow all health and safety procedures.
- Engages across all levels of the organization to create and promote a safe and respectful work environment.
- Other special projects and tasks as assigned.

**The profile we are looking for**
- 1-2 years of cleaning related experience is considered an asset.
- Proven time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Moderate computer skills
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and to work alone.
- Clear criminal record check
- Capability to meet the role’s medium physical demand level:

- lifting and/or carrying: Frequent 1-25 pounds; Occasional 26-50 pounds, and lifting 5 pounds above shoulder
