**Hours and Locations of Work**
This position provides coverage of 6.5 - 8 hours per day during planned absences such as vacation, as well as same day absences due to illness or emergencies.
Hours will be scheduled between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday at any of LCC’s 11 Children’s Centres throughout London.
**Qualifications**
- Safe Food Handling Certification
- Minimum two years’ experience in food preparation
- Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C (Don’t have this? We can help you get it)
- Acceptable employment-specific Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) that is dated within the last six months

**Position responsibilities**
- Preparing well balanced menus, including nutritious and delicious meals and snacks, on a rotational basis
- Supporting the purchasing of food supplies to meet the needs of the menus
- Retaining accurate purchasing records
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times
- Liaising with Dietary Planners in other Children’s Centres within LCC
- Cultivating professionalism, confidentiality and courtesy at all times
