**Title**: Junior Analyst (6-month contract)

**Position Status**: Full-Time - Contract *

**Schedule**: 40 hours a week (9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)

**Location**: 795 Wilson Ave Suite 200., North York, ON, M3K 1E4 (on-site)

**Reports To**:Firm Partners

This role offers an opportunity to gain CPA hours & experience.

**Primary Duties**:

- Assist with preparing client financial reports and statements
- Assist with compilations, reviews and audit working papers
- Perform data analysis and reconciliation of client financial accounts
- Help with client budget preparation and monitoring of expenses
- Complete the month-end close process for clients
- Prepare and process invoices and other accounting transactions
- Respond to financial inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Support senior team members with special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests
- Assist with development and implementation of accounting systems for clients
- Accountable for the timely completion of transactions and procedures
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Perform other duties and complete other projects as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in related position
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, CaseWare, Microsoft Excel and other financial software
- Enrolled in or has attained professional accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed organizational and time management skills
- Quick learner with a strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal, written and listening communications skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Work authorization in Canada
- Must be able to provide a clear criminal check and references

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $3,800.00-$4,500.00 per month

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
