Port Coquitlam, Canada Sushi On Full time

Our restaurant is a busy favourite sushi restaurant located in Port Coquitlam. As a part of expanding our team, we would like to recruit kitchen staff (experience preferred, but not necessary) for different roles/stations of work in our kitchen. We are mainly looking for staff in preparation role, hot food role and sushi roll station.

You'll be responsible for (but not limited to)...

When working in the hot food station: producing food items neatly in a timely manner, following the instructions given. One will also check the quality and quantity of the ingredients.

When working in the sushi roll station: prepare the work station for the day, efficiently make sushi rolls according to instructions,.

Other tasks may be asked by the General Manager, or other kitchen staff. The work stations have overlapping duties and responsibilities. Therefore, just because you are working in one station, doesn't mean you are only responsible for duties related to that station. Our kitchen's key characteristics are team work and communication. Of course, if you can work at any stations, that would be an asset.

Due to the fact that you'll be performing labour on your feet all the time in a kitchen where gas stove tops are blazing, dishes and ingredients are passed about, and both water and oil make the floor slippery, we ask you to come prepared for such environment and physical demand.

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

- Weekend availability

We always check for our staff members' health everyday with a set of questions and a non-contact infrared thermometer. Please bring your own masks, but gloves and hand sanitizers will be provided on site.

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
