As a **Kitchen Assistant**, you'll be essential in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and safely. From prepping ingredients to maintaining order and hygiene, you’ll support our culinary team while learning the rhythms of a professional kitchen.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in preparing ingredients (peeling, portioning, cutting)
- Keep workstations clean and sanitized
- Wash utensils and kitchen tools promptly
- Assemble plates and assist in dish presentation
- Follow food safety standards (FIFO, safe storage, labeling)
- Help receive and organize deliveries
- Report missing items or issues to supervisors
- Follow our SOPs for cleaning, prepping, and re-stocking

**You’ll Thrive If You**:

- Have experience in kitchens or prep roles (6+ months preferred)
- Hold a valid Ontario Food Handler Certificate (or are willing to obtain one)
- Are detail-oriented and fast-paced
- Work well under pressure and love helping others
- Speak Spanish or understand Latin American cooking culture (big bonus)
- Are a team player who shows up with a positive attitude

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
