**We have an opening for an experienced Material Handler to join our team in Newmarket**

**Duties**:

- Operate Forklift, bed movers (certification required), handcarts, and hydraulic jacks
- Daily inspection and up-keep of forklift and bed movers
- Safe transport and storage of goods received, coils, boxes, etc.
- Weigh coil & accurate documentation
- Packaging product and stacking goods
- Distributing raw materials to production lines in a timely fashion
- Inventory/cycle counts as required
- Moving of all finished product to shipping areas
- Proper stock rotation of all materials used for production.
- General housekeeping of work area
- Other duties as required

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Must possess strong forklift skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communicator with staff as well as all levels of management
- Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Thrives working in a very fast-paced environment
- Flexible to changing needs of the department
- Willingness to work to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times
- Forklift and bedmover experience (3 years) and certification
- Previous manufacturing experience an asset

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Forklift/bedmover: 3 years (preferred)
- Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
- Material Handler: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (required)
