About the role:
We are looking for innovative, experienced and passionate communicators who want to have an impact and make a difference joining us to reimagining medicine. As a Communication and Engagement Lead you will be responsible for creating and driving strategic integrated projects, collaborating in a dynamic environment with internal and external stakeholders.
The role reports directly into the Novartis Canada Country Head of Communication and Engagement and will work closely with the Cardiovascular cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a strategic partner to the business Therapy Area, create and support implementation of communications and engagement strategies, with an ecosystem mindset.
- Enhance Patient Groups engagement related to the Therapy Area, in alignment with the Patient Engagement Team.
- Lead insights-driven integrated communications for disease awareness & activation campaigns, media milestones.
- Be responsible for leading issue management for the Therapy Area
- Build appropriate program engagement strategy, ensuring cross-functional alignment, including where relevant budget and resource allocation management.
- Manage PR agencies and other external vendors to secure maximum return on investment, operational excellence and business impact.

**Minimum requirements**

Essential Requirements:

- Master’s degree / University Diploma or equivalent; 8-10 years of experience in Communications.
- Strategic thinking and solid operations management and execution
- Strong collaborative attitude and ability to manage complex projects in cross functional teams.
- Resilience and agility with strong leadership, collaboration, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Initiative, self-motivation and superior organizational and time management skills

Desirable Requirements:

- Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
- Bilingual: English and French an asset
