Entegris is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing facility in Toronto. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for safely installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing production machinery and equipment, mechanical equipment and systems in the facility to ensure problem free operations.

In addition, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting with project design and engineering at the facility and

be required to complete associated documentation for ISO and maintenance files.

In this role you will:

- Troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems;
- Perform appropriate preventive maintenance work on equipment as per schedule to minimize downtime;
- Maintain replacement parts inventory for equipment repairing;
- Write work instructions for handling and maintaining equipment and provide training for production personnel;
- Coordinating and prioritizing the maintenance activities in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor;
- Coordinate equipment repair and installation with contractors;
- Strong understanding and attention to documentation practices to meet external and internal requirements;
- Design, Engineer, Implement, and Commission continuous improvement projects;
- Create procedures with respect to different facility processes and safety protocols;
- Create engineering documents and specifications for process upgrades and project design;
- Liaise with external contractors to execute projects from start to finish;
- Assist with Maintenance scheduling (preventative maintenance, shutdown, and unexpected breakdown);
- Make proactive suggestions or recommendations for improvements to processes;
- Assist in inspection of fire protection system of the facility and report deficiencies immediately;
- Adhere to strict compliance of Entegris Housekeeping and Health and Safety requirements to ensure safe work environment;
- Maintain continued participation in safety initiatives, training and upgrading personal awareness;
- Conduct inspections of production equipment;
- Ensure appropriate handling of all chemical products and waste;
- Positively contribute to the Entegris strategic direction (i.e. operational excellence, customer service, etc.);
- Ensure proper procedures are adhered to when using environmental or quality-related documents and/or records.
- Diploma or Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent relevant technical work experience required;
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry is preferred;
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems;
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics;
- Strong communication skills to ensure transfer of work in progress between shifts, and work instructions to coworkers;
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills;
- Detail oriented to a high level (following procedures, documentation, equipment usage, chemical storage/disposal/handling);
- Basic knowledge with computers;
- Physical requirements include some heavy lifting.

Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
