Central Island Distributors seeking a well-qualified warehouse worker/forklift operator to join our team of skilled transportation professionals. This is a full-time position (40 hrs/week; 03:00 am-11:30 am).
Requirements include previous forklift experience (ticket helpful but not necessary), reliable transportation, good references, good oral and written communication skills, the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and the ability to work well with others in a team environment. This is a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, ideal for a well-organized, active person, with a good attention to detail. We offer extended health, dental benefits and RRSP matching after 6 months.

**Summary**

As a Forklift/Warehouse Worker, you will be essential in ensuring efficient warehouse operations during early morning shifts. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts to manage inventory and assist with trailer offloading, manifesting and trailer loading. Strong communication skills and mechanical knowledge will be vital as you collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and organized work environment. Your ability to perform heavy lifting and utilize warehouse management systems will contribute significantly to our distribution success. Join our team and help streamline our logistics processes.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate forklifts to transport goods within the warehouse efficiently.
- Perform order picking to load routes for drivers while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track shipments and deliveries.
- Conduct heavy lifting and ensure proper handling of materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily operations and maintain workflow.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
