RTR Terra Contracting Ltd is a full-service excavation contractor that provides multiple services of various sizes in and around Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Terra was formed over 10 years ago by a group of exceptional and knowledgeable construction and operation managers that have over 25 years of experience.

We are currently looking to build upon our experienced, growth-orientated, and dedicated list of employees through our Pipelayer opportunity.

**The Opportunity**:
**A day in the life of the Pipelayer
- roles and responsibilities**:

- Is safety-orientated and adheres to safe work practices
- Communicates effectively with Terra’s Civil Superintendent, Terra’s Project Managers, other coworkers and workers on site
- Uses construction knowledge to effectively carry out pipelaying tasks
- Understands blueprints
- Can dig trenches and use basic power tools
- Collaborates well with other team members
- Uses math skills to measure pipe, cut pipe and track materials
- Has driver’s license and can operate heavy machinery for digging trenches
- Understands the critical role they have in the community
- Performs other duties as and when required

**Qualifications

- Safety
- orientated, adheres to safety at all times
- Have minimum of 2 years of construction experience
- Have minimum of 1 year of Pipelaying experience
- Has Class 5 Driver’s License
- Has a good driving record
- Motivation to carry out work accurately and effectively
- Is a team player and effective communicator
- Is committed to be a reliable, professional, and consistent team player

**Salary**: $32.00-$35.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Offsite Civil (pipes, grading, utility services): 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Confined Space Certification (preferred)
- Fall Protection Certification (preferred)
