**BFL CANADA is seeking a Risk Control Intern / **Trainee** to join the Risk Advisory team in their Montreal Office*
The Risk Control Trainee will act as support counsellor on all risk control and risk engineering considerations.
**WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS A RISK CONTROL TRAINEE LOOKS LIKE**:
- Support the Senior Consultant in the risk reports preparation & production: underwriting report for insurance market, risk assessments, recommendation reports etc.
- Assist & conduct property site surveys at client’s facilities
- Assist loss estimates calculations
- Support and develop risk control templates and documents.
- Advice clients on risk exposures and control measures.
- Support research and development practice on any technical issues and considerations.
- Support building valuation practice.
**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE**
- Ongoing bachelor or college degree in engineering or fire protection / prevention, or applied science diploma.
- A first experience in industrial site inspections, risk control and/or fire protection is a strong asset.
- Knowledge in building construction and related codes, and building mechanics, an asset.
- Good analysis skills, problem solver to help clients with risk challenges.
- Bilingual - fluent in French and English.
